Never again will I get a Dell. Some people I know think they're good computers but some other people swear they're pieces of crap...I'm in the second group. I suppose they're okay, my computer is just garbage though.
I'm probably going to get a new PC soon, I have just enough to afford it and there's sales going on so that's good. I dunno what to get. Suggestions? It is going to be such a pain putting everything onto disc so I don't lose anything and I'm worried about my iTunes.

They're ok computers. They just don't last long. I had my Laptop for two years before I nuked and paved it and sold it to some computer nerd who was gonna fix it up for himself for a shitty second laptop.

Also, by a flash drive or a portable harddrive. Put your music and iTunes onto that. That's how I moved all my music to my desktop from my laptop. I used my little usb flash drive. Both are decently priced.

Two thoughts:
1) Get an external hard drive for your files, like your music. It's so much easier cuz then you'll just have to plug it in to your new computer and Voila! I don't have one but I want one. *just noticed the comment above...lol*
2) You could look into have your computer custom built. That's what I did. There's a computer place near us that my dad goes to to have our computer serviced and I had them build me one. I got to be very specific about what I wanted so I didn't pay for things I didn't need. And I don't know anything about computers so most of the specs were things that they advised me on and they were also based on my college's minimum requirements for accessing the network here. I have been soo happy with this computer, but I imagine you have to be careful about who you go to for things like this.

We have all Dell machines at work, can't say that I'm impressed with them, seem to get a lot of problems.
I spent a small fortune the other day buying the components to upgrade Dan and Sams machines for xmas plus build one for Harley, getting to the point though that it's now nearly as cheap to buy a machine ready built than do them myself...

My Dell has been pretty good so far...I've had it nearly 3 years and the only problem has been when the CPU melted and I had to replace it...but that was my fault for leaving it on the carpet and not cleaning the heat sink for three years...
