Major Alaskan oil field shutting down
In a sudden blow to the nation's oil supply, half the production on Alaska's North Slope was being shut down Sunday after BP Exploration Alaska, Inc. discovered severe corrosion in a Prudhoe Bay oil transit line.
Wow, this can really heat up. I'm personally happy, I don't think there should be any drilling up there but I highly doubt that'll happen so I'd rather it be as safe and clean as possible. A corrosion can cause a major spill, I'm glad they closed it to fix it.
