Okay, to ease my boredom I ask you to have me photograph something. It can be in the house or around the outside area of the house since I am too lazy to take a bus somewhere...
Pweeeese?

Yay, somebody requested!

That's the pond

That's most of the fish

Question; how much was your comission from Marta? I know she isn't taking comissions right now but I want to know for future reference, the type of style of your piece is basically what I will be requesting when she starts taking comissions again.

Oh wow! It's a lot bigger than I thought it was, and it is gorgeous!!

I don't remember the exact price, but it was somewhere around $70-$75. That's including shipping...three characters, inked, on heavier/bigger paper. Most money I've EVER spent on art...but I loves it ^_^

It is pretty big, and it's deep so the koi will be able to get full sized and not be cramped. Of course it isn't only koi, we also have some goldfish and two catfish in there. That black fish you see is probably one of the catfish.

Really? I thought it would be more, that's not too bad! I will probably request two characters...but it could be three (Harry and Draco definatly, lol)

lol yay for comissions! My only suggestion is when she announces she is opening up spots, to jump on it fast as you can and be ready with your idea so it doesn't get full before you claim your spot.

Ooo thanks for the tip. I was thinking I would have to be super quick but now I'll have to think up what I want! I think the only color I'm going to want is Harry's eyes, you gotta have his lovely green eyes! *swoons*

You probably won't have to know exactly what you want right away...I didn't. I was just like "I definitely want a comission, but I'm not sure exactly what yet!" and she told me to hurry up and decide so my spot wouldn't be taken (in a very nice, polite way)

I love the pond, once the kids have finished having the garden as a playground I'll landscape it all and build a big pond...

Hmm, picture... Okay, how about a pics of the views (out of the windows) from 2 different rooms?

Yay!

I love our pond. We have a hammok out behind the garage\rat room. I drag it over the pond whenever I go out there to read. It's so soothing. Are you going to put fish in it? I recommend it, but keep in mind that the fish, especially the goldfish, will eat the plants you put in. It's really better if you make it a plant pond or a fish pond. We have one or two plants in our pond but we don't expect a whole managerie of them to grow because of the koi, catfish, and goldfish.

Here's the photos!

This is the view outside the diningroom window. I didn't zoom so it looks like it would if you just glanced out the window.

This outside the office window.

Admit it, you just like to stalk us innocent girls *conjures a halo to go above my head*
As for the rose; yea that's a red rose. The roses bloom early in the spring here...sometimes even late winter. It's our weather.

Re: Yay!

I like to lurk in the shadows... bwahaha!

Ours have barely got leaves on at the moment, the drawn out winter we've just had seems to have arsed up a lot of the plants in my garden, a couple of my shrubs look quite dire and yet my Butterfly Bush seems to have shot away no problem...

Re: Yay!

Should I arm myself with garlic and holy water?

What's a Butterfly Bush? Sounds interesting. I hate the fact that foxgloves are highly toxic, they are so gorgous!

Re: Yay!

That'll not work, I love garlic - the more the better!

Butterfly Bush - aka "Budlia" (should be pics on google images I think), it's quite a big shrub that gets covered in long purple flowers, it's mega-attractive to butterflies and other insects. Ours has masses of them all over it in the summer, so pretty watching all the butterflies on a still day...

Re: Yay!

I'll just make sure to carry a stake with me at all times.

Oh, I know those. We have them in some areas, I want to plant one in our backyard. I just didn't know the name.

Re: Yay!

Homer Simpson moment there - "mmmm, steak... drool..." :-)

I forgot to trim ours last autumn so it's about 12' tall this year! I took some cuttings off it a couple of years back, now got 2 smaller bushes to plant out into the garden.
