Okay, help!
I'm trying to upday my iPod but it won't. I attached it via the USB cord. It attaches and it starts charging when it's hooked up to the computer so I know the cord works. It won't update! I do it manually, going to 'preferences' then the iPod part. Here's the thing, it says there's no iPod loaded. What's the deal? I need to update my iPod! Oh, and the iPod works fine and the memory isn't full.

HELP!?

Are you using the FireWire that came with it or just a regular USB? Because you need the one that came with it. Other than that, I would shut down and restart your computer and try again.

I`m no hack, but I do own an iPod. One day I crashed my operating sys and had to reinstall OSX (Jaguar). Since I did that, iSync hasn`t been the same. Where I use to be able to download my address book, iCalendar, etc, now I`m only able to download MP3s thru iTunes, and Podcasts. I luv podcasts. I would, however, be interested in hearing from you when you solve the problem. Good luck.
I know nobody really wants to hear this, but in case you don`t find your answers here (on "lj"), check this out…

I would read up on this, but I barerly have time to listen to all the music I buy.
