Is there a way to resize photos to an exact size? I try to resize some photos into 100x100 but it goes to 100x88 or 100x150. I haven't figured out how to make it exactly 100x100....oh, I'm using JASC Paint Shop Pro Studio. I also have Adobe Photoshop Elements 2.0 and I have the same problem with that program.

You have to crop the image to get it to the exact size you want, otherwise it'll turn out like 100x88 and etc. What I usually do is open up a 100x100 new project, resize the image in question's longest side (height or width) to 100px, then select, copy, and paste it to the 100x100 project. Move it around to however you like. :3

yup in PSP start a new 100x100 image, take the image you want to make smaller and depending on it's size already, I usually resize mine 75% copy it and paste it into my 100x100 and choose the deformation tool and size it accordingly.

Start from scratch. It was never real.

Upgrade to Photoshop CS2.

This becomes stupidly easy. I love it.

All you do with the upgrade (never knew of the older versions having this) is click on the crop tool and on the top left, size dimensions would pop up. You could ignore it and just resize to your merry delight or actually enter a value, say, 4" by 6" and it'll go any size you want but in those proportions. It's neat.

I use Adobe Photoshop Elements 1.0, so 2.0 should have the same feature.
When you go to resize the image, uncheck the box for "Constrain proportions". Then you can make it any size you want. I'll caution you though: The reason why it currently goes to 100 X 88 or so is becuase it is keeping the picture proportionally accurate. You may find your 100 X 100 sized pics look a bit off. ;)
