iTunes

I tried finding the answer to my question in the help section, but I couldn't find it so I shall ask you guys! For those of you with iTunes, is there a way to edit the playlist? I have a smart playlist for HP songs but it's out of order. I know you can alter it based on the artist, album, and song but that's not what I want. I want the songs in order for each album, and I want the albums in movie order. Example; SS is first and then COS but then the rock songs for GOF show up before POA. Is there a way I can say "this song is number 1 and this song is number 40"?

I know that made little sense so if you were able to decipher my gobbldygook, you rule

Current Mood: amused amused
Current Music: Cakes for Crabbe and Goyle---HP:::COS

I would say create a new playlist with the harry potter songs and then add them in the order you want them to be in. Or you can click "Album" to sort things by album as well. But my opinion would be the easiest way would be create a new playlist and go from there.

I've tried the album way and it ends up backwards. I'm going to try your other method

Yeah, I reread what you said and realized that you tried the album method. I usually just make my own playlists when stuff like that doesn't work. I have so many different playlists it's not even funny, haha.

Yeah, my Harry Potter songs are in a smart playlist titled "Harry Potter". I have it set by grouping. I also have these playlists;
instrumental, movie music, 80's, 90's, classical, oldies, Star Wars, John Williams, Beatles, etc.
Do you use smart playlists or the other type?

I just made a manual playlist. I didn't even think to not use a smart playlist! So now my songs are in a nice order :D

Yeah, haha, once I figured out that I could make my own playlist it was all downhill from there. I have so many different playlists it's not even funny. I usually just listen to my iPod on regular on random though. I use the different playlists when I'm in a particular mood.
