Harry Potter nerd! ;-)

We're definately going to be visiting Alnwick Castle sometime later in the summer, I'll make sure I've got a load of spare batteries for the camera for that one! I wonder if they'd notice me stealing a piece of Hogwarts for you, hmmm...

No lake sadly.. though the River Aln (hence the place name) runs through/by.. I'm not sure where they filmed some of the countryside scenery that you see around Hogwarts, but the castle itself is actually just on the edge of the town so it's all roads and streets around it. Alnwick is quite a nice place, very old town full of interesting features and shops. Part of the old railway station there is a HUGE old bookshop, lots of antique and rare books in it (Barter Books, not sure if they have a website)...

I know they filled a bunch in Scotland. I guess this castle will be one of my many stops in my UK tour. Not just because of HP of course, I love the history of the UK :D
Oh, and books rock. I can get lost in them. ^_^

I'll have to find out the exact locations.. Some of the scenes give me the impression they were probably filmed around some of the Scottish Loch's...

If you like books then you'd love Barter Books, they've got a site - http://www.barterbooks.co.uk/ if you look at the link to their location it has a map that gives you a nice simple outline of the area, you can see loads of the places we've been taking photo's at this year (Holy Island, Warkworth etc etc)...

That is the cutest thing I've seen today. And that's AFTER looking in my rat cage.

:)
Hagrid is a peace keeper. Neville and Seamus, same size but different in age by two months, are battling for supreme ruler of the cage (under Hagrid of course) but he breaks up their fights :]

OMG that pic is adorable! I love seeing ratties all happy and snuggled up together like that. Hagrid is cool, he looks like a big otter or something.

That's the best name you possibly could have given that rat. So appropriate.
