obcessed or just lame?

Reading the books again. I really want the special addition (has perty art!) but the guy said it's nearly $70 ;_;
Maybe I'll sell on ebay and raise money. I've never sold stuff on EBay, so sellers; give me tips!

I take it you mean the HP books? When I picked up the new one for Ali at the weekend there were two different covers, one in bright colours and one more adult, dunno if that's the other version but it was the same price for either...

EBay, I've not sold a great lot on there, but the main thing is to word your item well and try to include pictures of it. Try to be honest, if the thing has something wrong with it mention it but don't be negative or focus on that.

Yep HP. I know of three covers; the UK one that has Harry and Dumbledore surrounded by red flames (I think that's the UK one, the magazines say it is). Then there's the one I have, which is green and perty. That's considered the kid's version according to magazines. The adult one has a book on it. I like my version better heh

Oh, the edition I'm talking about has 30 something extra pages of artwork (I think it's the chapter art). That's what makes it special

Found them on amazon UK, yeah there's three versions.. we've got the normal ones for the first 5 books and the adult version of the new one. The special editions are on there - HBP is £21 (about $37 US or there-abouts?)...

I've sold lots of crap on eBay. It's not too hard once you get the hang of it. However, you do have to verify your bank account and stuff and set your Seller Account to link with PayPal. At least, that's how it was when I first started selling over a year ago it could possibly have changed now.

Don't you also have to pay a small fee? I've been meaning to maybe set up a seller's account (it says the first item is free), but I'm at a loss of what to sell. Hmm. I'm not the kind of person who actually has anything of VALUE around the house... unless you consider my 2,000 DVDs and over 200 videogames ... but I think that's just being a pack-rat.

Yeah, you pay a small fee which whether your item sells or not. However, if you were going to sell movies or books I suggest Amazon because they don't charge you unless you sell the item and at that, they take it out of the payment the person sends you. eBay charges your bank account or credit card (whichever you choose to set it to). eBay also only charges once a month, not at the time of the listing, so you have to be careful if you link your bank account that you have sufficient funding at that time to pay for it. There's also a way to pay it from PayPal with the payments people send you but I have only done it once so I forget how.

However, people will buy almost anything on eBay. It might not be of value to you but you never know about other people. Personally, I just use it to sell clothes or shoes and such. I think I used it once to sell a "set" of books because it would get me more money than listing them individually on Amazon.
