LITTER

I found my older digital camera, an Olympus Camedia which I hate. I stopped using it because it stopped working. Well, I tried fixing it and loe and behold it works! It's tempermental but it tooks some okay shots. So I can share the glory of my gigantic litter :)

And the 6 girls. The manx is on the far left

Here's a tailed baby with the manx

All the babies, boy is it going to be fun when they all decide that they want OUT of the cage /sarcasm :)

Another comparison

This photo is begging to be an icon...the manx girl

I'm going to keep the girl and get her x-rayed later on. If she proves to have the safe type of pelvis, I shall breed her :)

A manx is a tricky resessive (I always spell that wrong). Even if one parent is a manx and one has a parent that was one, chances can be slim that you will get a manx.
It was a mutation that popped up (don't know much about the history) so people decided to breed it. The thing with manx is that is can be dangerous to breed females. A responcible breeder will x-ray the hips on a female (preferably males as well for genetic reasons) to detirmine if a female is safe to breed (babies can get lodged in the birth canal).
I x-rayed my two manx girls and they checked out so they will be bred. I will be x-raying this little one as well.
