I feel bad for the parents but honestly, is this what's best for this woman? This woman has been at the mercy of a tube for fifteen years! What kind of life is it when you are like this? I'm sorry but if it were me, I would want that tube removed.

But Rep. Henry Waxman of California, senior Democrat on the Government Reform Committee, called the subpoenas a "flagrant abuse of power" and said they amounted to Congress dictating the medical care Terri Schiavo should receive.

"Congress is turning the Schiavo family's personal tragedy into a national political farce," Waxman said

Thank you Congressman! You said it best. Now I know why I voted for you (other then the fact that your a family friend you are a good congressman)

Current Mood: cranky

in a way you are right but starving is a horribly painful death ,god i wish people wouldn't e so stupid ,if it was her wish they should have given her a nice doese of morphine that would have taken her warmly andpainlessly to the other side ....what a nightmare ...on the other hand i can understand the parents that they hoped that she would come out of it so maybe one shoould make a 5 year rule for things like that ,if the person states in her/his will that they don't want things like that then keep them alive for 5 years to give them time if they can recover and then a morphine dose ....
Poor woman and poor family :(
it's realy sad.

The parents are hoping she'll come out of it but they're fooling themselves. The doctors said that she won't come out of it. I think they need to let go...
