I want to go to NY or DC after OH (lol lots of letters). I know it will but freaking cold but I've never been to those places in the winter and have heard that it's beautiful during that time :)
I would probably take a train to the city. Be cheap I imagine. Our family knows a CA senator that lives in a Maryland city right next to DC. Maybe I can stay with him...
I dunno. Is there any reasonable hotel in DC or in Manhatten? I know it's terrible prices but is there ANYTHING that is cheaper then usual? I love those two cities :)
Museums galour! The culture and history! *dies*

When my friend flew in from Colarado to DC he stayed at a place for 65/night [weekend, in June] that was "right near the Rosslyn subway station" but I'm not sure if that was "right near" driving or "right near" walking. *Shrug* Check places like travelocity.

DC, honestly, isn't THAT bad. They freak out over 3" of snow. There are some really bitter cold [windchills below 0 is my definition of bitter] but they're few and far between, you're more likely to get 50 degree days.
Manhatten, especially the business districts with the skyscrapers only making the wind colder until it reaches you, can be really friggin' cold. Bundle yourself up. If possible take the subway so you're not above ground waiting for public transport (I was there in January).
Also, considering staying outside of it for cheap places. Staten Island isn't as bad, and is an excuse to take the ferry in. :)
