Weird Al -- with me

note to self: don't get your hopes too high up;)

The rescuer at Westside German Shepherd Rescue here in Los Angeles (in fact, just ten minutes from us!) emailed me back with some updates. They just got a new dog, Daisy, that she thinks will do well for us. The dog gets along with cats and other dogs, is fairly well behaved, and is super sweet. The mother was a GSD while the father wasn't known. I took a look at this dog and went "boxer!". She really looks like she has boxer in her. What do you think?

My mom and I are interested in this dog and plan on meeting her either this week or next week. Also, is there anyway to get the ingredients for a raw diet in bulk either on the internet or fairly close to Los Angeles (that would apply to any LA people out there).
We aren't ruling out older dogs. We wouldn't mind an older dog but we think that whichever dog picks us and is good for our household is the dog we should adopt. If it's an older dog great. If it's a puppy that's also great!

Had a full day. Went back to David's Bridal to check how my dress was coming (got it refitted). Need to do it one more time. Went to GameStop and mom got me a Gameshark for my b-day. Went to a mall and went to Layne's Bryant and Caprice. Caprice has crystal figures :D
Got a crystal bracelet to wear to the wedding (Swavorsky!).
Got Coffee Bean and went to pick up my aunt. Went and got makeup (groan). Then we went to Micheal's so mom can get yarn (double groan). Then we had dinner at the Olive Garden and dropped my aunt home. So much girlie shopping. At least I got to go to GameStop!
Damn president. Heard on the radio that he wants to start doing exploration for oil off our coast. And if there is oil, he wants to start drilling. First Alaska and now our coastline!? Oh who cares about the California sea otters! They aren't important! Jackass >:I
Ugh that's just my Bush rant for the day.

Daisy is most likely a no go. Her adoption is pending. I'm not going to look anymore until we are ready. I keep seeing these great dogs that would do good with our home situation but they keep getting adopted. Good for the dogs of course, I'm happy for them. It's just depressing.
Another depressing thing is this dog. Look at that dog! With a face like that she'll be gone before we can meet her. Again, I'm happy for the dog but she's just so damn cute! And cat friendly according to her rescuer.
Sigh, so I'm not going to look until after Adam's wedding when we will be ready.

THey issued a tsunami warning for over here O_o
I know there was a tsunami in N CA, near Redwoods National Park, but that was back in the 18-1900's.
I'm about 5 miles from the coast and it elevates all the way here. I'm not worried.

edit
I said we had a tsunami up in N CA. Well I didn't mention the city. It was near Eureka. Guess what? That's why we are having a warning. There was a 7.4 off the coast near Eureka. *gets candles and flashlights*

Hehe I'm being paranoid. There won't be a tsunami but I figured, better safe then sorry! Even if there is one, it won't come this far inland but there could be power failures. Again, I doubt it'll happen but if it does, I feel bad for the people in Cambria (my favorite coastal town), Santa Monica, Malibu, Ventura, etc.
