Damn fucking right I do. If someone says "retarded" "rape" "gay" "jew" "nigger" etc. in my presence with the connotation that they are using it as slander then they're gonna get an ear-full from me. Hell, there are dirt-words people have called me which most people wouldn't hear or know about unless they are Serbian themselves or from the Balkan region so I've had my fair share of being called "racist" type terms so I can see where people are coming from nowadays and I feel terrible for throwing around terms ignorantly as I did when I was younger. There are quite a few other words that get me going too but at the moment I can't think of them since it is 6AM and I am running on sleep-deprivation. Even if it doesn't change the person's mind-set, it at least makes me feel better to peacefully, eloquently, tell them what a horrible human being they are because coming from someone who is a republican conservative (which I make sure to tell them I am because that usually really gets their blood boiling since being a red members I should be anti-everything) who dresses like a freaky goth chick (meaning I shouldn't care about anything) who has the face of a sixteen year old (meaning I shouldn't know anything) people usually stop dead in their tracks and are picking their jaws up off the floor by the time I walk away and usually don't have the chance to interject me. XD

You go girl.
I've been called a bigot for calling somebody I care for "gay" (they are, in fact, gay). I didn't use it as a slang term (like "dude, that's totally gay").
I sometimes slip up and say things like that since I used that term as a teen (heh, South Park has warped my fragile little mind) but I try my damnedest not to use "gay" that way anymore and I always apologize if I say it in front of somebody (half the people don't get why I apologize).
Being called a bigot for calling somebody gay who is gay is a bit bizarre for me. I don't think the word "gay" is negative when saying "I have a gay friend". That's not negative....if I said "my friend is a fag"...THAT is negative (I never use the word fag..ever)
I should sleep, I don't think I made sense.

No way, I totally get what you meant and I feel the same exact way. I hate how people cringe or look at me weird or try to tell me I am a hypocrite for calling my gay friends gay. I'm not! I know exactly what you mean. It's completely different.
