I just realized that I was watching a special on the Yellowstone Super Volcano on the Science Channel when the quake hit, that amuses me.
At the same time I'm getting wary about all these moderate quakes happening so close together (geographically and timescale). I'm not that worried, I went through the Northridge Quake so I know what a big one is like. Fucking scary as hell but since there's nothing I can do about it I won't worry myself.
It's so awesome taking flights up California (a flight to Seattle for example). Some of the flight paths go over the San Andreas Fault which you can see very easily! I'm such a geo nerd :)
