Ok, I'm gonna say that doctor is a moron until you see a real gyno. Only because I had that same problem and it was not weight related it was related to poly-cystic and endometriosis in which case yes the birth control will help you but they SHOULD have run tests for that shit because that's dangerous and I don't want to freak you out but I'd be careful though you should be ok since the gyno appointment is only a month away. I used to have that same problem from the time I got my period around 12 until the time I was 18 and got birth control. I would have my period EXTREMELY heavy for two to four weeks long and would only get a one week reprieve before it started again. I forget what kind of tests they did to me though, I know one was an ultrasound type thing and the others were special blood tests only the endocrinologist could do. *hugs* I hope that doctor is right, but it makes me mad she didn't run more tests (though I guess they can't since it's like an ER they don't have time).

Also, congrats on the pants fitting! I love that feeling when I can finally fit into something I bought that was either accidentally too small or I misjudged it fitting. It's so ... I can't think of a word other than freeing.

Also also, I keep forgetting to tell you your cousin looks like this kid named Gavin I used to be friends with...like...could be his twin if he weren't so young.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I'm definetly following up with a gyno. Got an appointment for when I get back from Oregon. They took blood but I dunno what tests they're going to run with them.

Fitting into these pants is a great thing, I feel so proud of myself.

I have a cousin named Gavin on my mother's side.

Ah, yeah the only reason I'd worry is if you were gonna just let it go. My Mum ended up having to have an ovary removed a few years ago because of a doctor who misdiagnosed her as saying it was her weight causing her periods problems and then ten years later she found out she had all kinds of endometriosis and shit which is why I was forced to go get looked at once I was 18...would have gone sooner but I just didn't tell her the problems 'cause I was embarrassed.

Is Gavin's last name Petracco and is he from PA? lol.
